Questions

Questions, answered plainly.

What eikoro does, what it can't do, and what you actually get for $4.99. If your question isn't here, email support@eikoro.com.

Photo & privacy

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Your photo is opened in your browser tab and processed there — there is no upload endpoint. Face detection and background processing run locally on your device. The only things we ever receive are payment confirmation and a license key from our payment provider — your photo is never sent with them.

What happens to my photo when I close the tab?

Nothing is kept. The image is loaded into the page's memory and is not stored on a server. The file you download is a normal file on your device — delete it whenever you like.

Do you use cookies or analytics?

No cookies, no third-party analytics and no ad trackers. We do run one anonymous page counter on our own server — no cookies, no stored IP address. The editor itself runs entirely on your device.

Does it work if the connection drops?

The face model is downloaded from this site once. After that, alignment, background processing, and export happen on your device. You can finish the edit without sending your photo anywhere.

Which browsers and devices are supported?

Current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on phones, tablets, and desktops. The heavy work runs in WebAssembly, so an older phone will be slower but can still make and export a photo.

Sizes, specs & acceptance

Will my photo be accepted?

eikoro matches the published size, head-height band, background, and print requirements for the document you choose. We can't guarantee acceptance: a person at the issuing authority makes the final call, and photos can be rejected for reasons a tool cannot judge — a slightly open mouth, a shadow from a window, or a photo that is simply too old. Check your authority's current rules before you apply.

How do you know the right size for my country?

Each spec is built from the issuing authority's published photo guidance: dimensions in millimetres and inches, pixels at 300 DPI, head-height band, background color, and print rules. The country pages list the exact numbers and link to the official source.

My country isn't listed. What can I do?

The editor covers 51 passport, visa, and ID specs. If yours is missing, email support@eikoro.com with the document name and a link to the official requirements. Specs are added from published guidance, not guesses.

Can I wear glasses, a head covering, or a beard?

Most authorities ask for a neutral expression, both eyes open and visible, no glasses, and no head covering except for religious or medical reasons. Those are rules about the photo, not about the file — eikoro only controls size, alignment, and background. Follow your authority's guidance.

Files & printing

What exactly do I download?

A print-ready JPG at 300 or 600 DPI (whatever your spec requires), cropped to your chosen spec, plus a print sheet (4 × 6 in or A4) with cut guides. The free version downloads a watermarked preview so you can check the crop first.

Can I print at a pharmacy or photo lab?

Yes. The files are ordinary high-resolution JPGs. Upload them to a lab's photo printing service or bring them on a USB stick. Ask for photo paper rather than plain office paper.

Can I print the same file more than once?

Yes. The files you download are yours to keep and print as often as you need. There is no per-print fee and no subscription.

Do you offer refunds?

If your export is broken or you were charged twice, email support@eikoro.com and we'll make it right. The full terms are in the refund policy.

Payment

Is this a subscription?

No. It's a one-time payment for the export. There is no auto-renewal, no account, and nothing to cancel. The current launch price is $4.99; the list price is $6.99.

What payment methods can I use?

Card payment is handled by Creem, our merchant of record, and the methods available in your country are shown at checkout. We never receive or store your card number.

Still stuck? Email support — a human reads it.

Ready to try it?

The editor is free. You only pay when you export.
